How to use

RegistryRemover is a console program which is meant to be run automatically when Windows starts. The syntax for the program is:

RegRmove.exe [/r<key>] [/f<filename>]

/r

Remove key, e.g. /r"HLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RealTray"

/f

Use remove file, e.g. /fc:\remove.txt

In /r and in a remove file, you can use the following abbrevations for the various registry keys:

HCR

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

HCU

HKEY_CURRENT_USER

HLM

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

HU

HKEY_USERS

HCC

HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG

You can also write out these keys in full as above.

The program can be run manually, from the start menu or installed into the 'Run' key in the registry:

Create a new string value named "_RegRemove" in the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrectVersion\Run" and set the value to "C:\RR\RegRmove.exe /fC:\RR\remove.txt", where "C:\RR" is the folder where RegRmove.exe is placed and "C:\RR\remove.txt" is the file with the keys to remove.

There is an example remove file (remove.txt) included in the ZIP file - it removes QuickTime and RealPlayer tray icon program.
